Israel is Jewish, Established not by People, But by the WORD of the LORD - Ezekiel 36-37, et al.Reader comment on item: Accepting Israel as the Jewish State[: Public Opinion in Four Arab Countries] Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), May 11, 2010 at 19:21 From the reader Abbushuki, "Every Muslim knows that the Bible, as we know it, was counterfeited by the Jews as a pretext for Zionism." We shall ask the same question that is put to the student of the Hebrew Holy Bible, where's your proof? We can insert here one position, that as we have read and heard from many Muslims that there is alt least a nominal assertion that 'Issa,' Jesus, is observed as a prophet, eliminating any reference to His special identification as the Son of Man, the Son of the Eternal Sovereign. Yet we read in the Hebrew Holy Bible of His encounter with the Adversary, where after Jesus is tempted with the prompt of making bread from stones, Jesus replies, "it is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God." Now for the Bible student, this is the very basis of belief, from the very Person we listen to for our very lives. He tells us that we are to listen to the Word of the LORD, not a text that came hundreds of years later, but of a text that was written by Hebrew princes, prophets, scholars, fishermen and herdsmen. Some were kings, some paupers; but all were keyed into obeying the Word of the LORD, and writing it down. For them Zion was not a place to be developed by implementing the dreams of mortal men, but of experiencing the revelation and fulfillment of the very words of His Majesty they were writing down. Later comes the words of an Arab with no other prior distinction than being claimed as the orator, the oracle, if one desires, of the Quran. In the words contained therein, we see the complete disdain and disregard for the authority and authenticity of the Hebrew Holy Bible, of a diminishing view of who Jesus Christ really is, and is able to make people see his point of view, either by voluntary submission, or by compulsion. We have only the dictation of those words to understand from what mindset they were written, but without sufficient validation (except to those who hate the Holy Bible irrespective of its merits) as to the contradiction it purports to impose upon the Hebrew Holy Bible. Now the argument of the 'Jews counterfeiting the Bible' to promote 'Zionism' is weak at best, for every true student of the Holy Bible knows that the Jewish people who have yet to recognize who their Messiah is have been repudiating any connection that is made to the return of Jesus Christ, which has been around as long as the fact of the place of the cross. There is no true basis for the establishment of Zion without recognizing Jesus Christ as the Messiah. You cannot have it both ways. Israel has been established for the purpose of the Kingdom of Almighty God, and for the destination of the return of Jesus Christ. Zion is His holy hill, and Jerusalem is the place for His throne room. As much as anything else, this circumstance is as much a reason the Quran seeks to dispel Zion as a place of Israel as every other part of Biblical prophecy. There is the real reason the enemies of Israel are against the establishment of a Jewish state, not merely for the religious implications, but of a full recognition that every other religious endeavor will disappear at the appearance of Jesus Christ, and that will be the final downfall of the Adversary, the true leader of the revolt against Jesus Christ as His Kingdom in Israel. The evidence is in the belief in the truth, and delusion for failing to see why Israel still exists after every attempt to eradicate the people Israel has failed for centuries. Proof? Look at Israel and demand the proof of her existence! Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
