The Response Should Be to the Truth of the Holy Bible - of Israel's Completed Destiny in Jesus ChristReader comment on item: Accepting Israel as the Jewish State[: Public Opinion in Four Arab Countries] Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Jun 23, 2010 at 19:33 There is an axiom that when there is a flaw in one's personal view point, it colors the observations that one would make against those to whom they direct their viewpoints. You have certainly made that point in your Islamically colored invectives in trying to disparage the Biblical viewpoints that are not of my own imagination, but are based on the Holy Bible. But you have disparaged that as well in order to justify you belief in the Quran. Now before we get this going any farther, I have no hidden agenda to influence you to convert away from your beliefs. If you read the Holy Bible correctly (which is apparently not your intent), you will find that an evangelical Christian who is true to the WORD and is merely providing witness in obedience to the LORD and Savior Jesus Christ to tell the world of His love for all, and salvation for those who believe in faith. If you do not intend to search out the truth in Holy Bible to find out why the Islamic Prophet chose not to believe, then you are really wasting your time in engaging issues based on the Holy Bible; that It is suggested here that your concerns regarding which is better for you have been answered already; that if you think that such debate and argument about the Holy Bible is going to devalue it beyond the power of the Holy Spirit, how do you think mere mortals are going to defeat Almighty God? Now you again fall into error if you think I have an attitude of dismissal regarding Israel's endeavors to maintain security. You have missed one of more important aspects of the Holy Bible as it relates to Israel, yet I am not going to engage in a diatribe of why you would dismiss Israel's right to the land based on the fallacious premise that they have control when it is apparent they cannot do anything of their own without running counter to the Biblical imperatives. But further, you want so badly to dismiss their status as the chosen, yet for the reason of human logic, you have yet to understand why they have that status. In that vein, you would also dismiss the Hebrew Abraham and the initiation of the process of how they became the chosen, for you need to do that in order to dismiss Israel's claim. You infer that Ishmael should have the prescient right to the succession, but the prescience actually points to Abraham's belief, that he recognized the LORD was correct in His judgment. Further, the LORD helped Ishmael and his mother because he promised to do so, not for Abraham's sake or for the subsequent heritage promised through Isaac, but for the reasons found in the Hebrew Holy Bible. By the way, Abraham was perfect in his faith, not in his humanity, thus we see his failures as well as his blessings before the LORD. It's all in Genesis. Now you revert to the labeling that is common to those who have not understood the Holy Bible, and try to say that I have 'interpreted' the Holy Bible to fit my worldview. You have it backwards; the Holy Bible frames my worldview, beginning with my faith and source of power emanating from the Father, though Jesus Christ by the power of His Holy Spirit. If I reject error from anything, it is the Holy Bible that provides the understanding necessary for me to reject error that works against the Holy Bible. I have no problem with the Holy Bible as the Holy Spirit instructs me. It is the outside extra-Biblical influences that would get me into trouble when I stray from the WORD. Now you have become vague in your attempt to declare a problem with something Jesus Christ has said, so I'll not address that, not at least until you have clarified yourself. And if you think I have some innate ability to discern good from evil, you have erred again, for my discernment comes from the LORD, and His determination of good versus evil is the only way I'll declare agreement with Him. Now you digress in your next point, that of the Gaza Flotilla, which from all published reports, was an attempt to get past the Israeli security ring for whatever their stated intentions were. Were they really legitimate, then they would have found a peaceful solution BEFORE trying to run a blockade and place the lives of all in danger. Do you not agree that peaceful solution is one negotiated in good faith and acted upon in the best interests of all? That the shipboard mates were ready to engage in battle detracts from their 'peaceful' intent. In reality, their actions have now been categorized as preparation for a subsequent attempt under Iranian sponsorship; that with Iran's stated challenge to Israel for them to not interfere with that attempt, we can see that the first attempt may be perceived as a feint, to provide a diversionary political screen while the real intent is to be played out later. Now we have read that Turkey apparently was the sponsoring national interest for the Gaza Flotilla, and Iran is potentially the second. With the rising insurgent attitude coming from Europe (see the 'peaceful' demonstrations in London declaring Islam's intentions to rise against the western powers as you have intimated to which you would be aligned), it will not be long before fundamental Islam enters the stage for the next act, and the acts of beheadings called for by the fundamentalist Muslims in London become their reality. So be careful to whom you cast aspersions about the deaths of 'innocents.' It points again to your error of understanding what true Christianity is all about, and I'm not sure you are really doing nothing more than collecting reasons why you do not want to believe. I will try once again to pose the question, if you do not really want to know Jesus Christ, or really not believe on His death on the cross for your sins, nor in His resurrection which gives us our hope for eternal life with Him, neither His ascension into Heaven for mediating our relationship before Almighty God, our Father in Heaven through His Spirit, then you appear to know anything you do not need to know to reject Him, and your destiny and course in Islam is set. On the other hand, if you would open your heart (and NOT your mind) to the true Gospel of Jesus Christ, to esteem His love for you according to His Word, to embrace your need for Him to be your Savior, He will be waiting until the end of this mortal existence to receive your prayer for understanding, and finally belief and faith in Him. He has said, He stands at the door of your heart (if you have been reading any of the Holy Bible at all and not some Islamic commentary of Islam's failure to believe), He has been knocking, hard, for you to open your heart. If He goes away because you do not want to open that door, He'll go away sad, but your reluctance to believe in Him will be on your own head. It all comes down to that, and it is your choice. He's not going to force you to decide and neither am I, but the sadness will last for a time; then it will be all over in this life, and an eternity of sadness to pay for those who have said no to the truth of Jesus Christ the LORD.
