When Jesus Christ Returns - Israel will be Fully Jewish, Ethnically and BiblicallyReader comment on item: Accepting Israel as the Jewish State[: Public Opinion in Four Arab Countries] Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Jun 8, 2010 at 13:32 Now we perceive your focus on discrediting Paul as a witness of Jesus Christ. If we discern correctly that the same disinformation started after he converted to following Jesus Christ is still being disseminated today, we can understand your reluctance to receive his testimony; yet in that reluctance, the truth is missed. Read the scriptures with this in mind, that Saul (Paul) was an enemy of Jesus Christ until Jesus Christ appeared to him on the way to Damascus, thereby beginning his conversion and his former friends in the Jewish council turned against him. They needed to discredit Paul (Saul), for he was once one of them, then to become the chief accuser, along with Peter, of them who conspired to send Jesus Christ to the Romans for execution. Considered a traitor to the cause of the Pharisees and Sadducees, Paul's newfound faith and declarations that Jesus Christ IS the Messiah made him more of a liability to the mindset of established Judaistic religion (Judaism now emptied of the faith for their rejection of the anointed one). What you are saying by rejecting the witness of Paul is that you agree with the Jews of that time in rejecting Jesus Christ. It is the same mentality that was in force during the time in which the Quran was dictated as a substitute for the Holy Bible. Now you have endangered yourself, for if your questions about the truth of Christianity were sincere, then one might think that such a search for truth would lead to the conviction that typically ensues. The observation here is that no such search is evident, but that a validation of unbelief in the Holy Bible and the truth about Jesus Christ is sought after to placate the mindset of justifying a Muslim's belief in Islam. This is most evident in that the attempt to assimilate those portions of Judaism and Christianity is necessary to compete for those uncertain minds that have never found the truth and are being told the truth of Jesus Christ is a lie. Now going back to our previous exchange, there is no documented evidence that shari'a law predates the WORD of the LORD. One can only assume that such an assertion is necessary by Islam to contravene the WORD of the LORD; yet it fails to do so, for it is a human mindset that has framed it under a conviction that one rejects the WORD of the LORD out of hand, under the influence that rejects the true teaching of Almighty God. Your contention is that Islam comes from the time of Adam and Eve, and it contradicts the WORD of the LORD from that time, then there is only one conclusion to be drawn for one who believes the WORD of the LORD is supreme over all, and that is the conclusion I must draw. It is stated over and over that Jesus Christ is a person of influence in the Quran, but your belief of Him reveals that you do not believe Him in truth. Let us put this test of allegiance to the question, that if Jesus Christ is who He says He is, then why do you dispute Him and His WORD. Here is His WORD, Luke 24:44-47: 44) And He (Jesus speaking) said unto them, "These are the words which I spoke unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me "(Jesus Christ). 45) Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46) And said unto them, "Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: 47) And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." So we are given to understand that Jesus Christ is making His claim to who He is, as based on the words of Moses and the prophets. Here is further testimony from earlier, Luke 22:63-71: 63) And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote [him].64) And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee? 65) And many other things blasphemously spoke they against him. 66) And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying, 67) Art thou the Christ?... tell us. And he said unto them, "If I tell you, ye will not believe: 68) And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go." 69) "Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God." 70) Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, "Ye say that I am." 71) And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth. Now this puts anyone who asks the question of who Jesus Christ is the spot. To deny His authority and position of power as the Son of Almighty God is a dangerous thing. Here is where the free moral choice given to all puts the human mindset to the test. You are allowed to deny Jesus Christ and His Deity, as Islam teaches, and you can live out the rest of your mortal existence in oblivious denial of the truth of knowledge that He gives to all who believe in Him in true faith. It is really rather easy. But therein lies the delusion, that if one denies who Jesus Christ really is in this life, such a person cannot expect to go to the eternity that is promised to those who have their faith in Him. It is that simple. In your castigation of Paul (Paulisms and all that), you have also taken something out of context or misconception (is it yours alone, I think not, for many before you have fallen into the trap of unbelief). Read again, or if you have never truly read the Acts, written by the same physician Luke from the above referenced Gospel (some of which was dictated to him by Jesus' earthly mother, by the way), read about Saul's conversion and renaming to Paul. Read of his initial hatred of things of Jesus Christ, only to be confronted by Jesus Christ Himself and having his life turned completely on his head. He becomes the bond servant to Jesus Christ and is Jesus' foremost witness until the Romans behead him, a mere four years before the Romans invade Jerusalem and destroy the Temple. But let us go back to the upper room, on the eve of Jesus' condemnation, John13:31-32: 31) Therefore, when he (Judas) was gone out, Jesus said, "Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him. 32) If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him. And John 18:31-37 Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death: 32) That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spoke, signifying what death he should die. 33) Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews? 34) Jesus answered him, Say thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me? 35) Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? 36) Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence." 37) Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, "Thou say that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth hears my voice." Here is the truth:, that Jesus Christ is the Savior, the King, the LORD of life to all who have faith in Him according to HIS WORD, and not the sayings of those who do not take Him at His WORD. Like it has been said before, if you do not want to receive Jesus Christ at His WORD, you don't have to. Just make sure you understand, that when it comes down to the final analysis, if you have not believed in Jesus Christ as LORD and reject the Islamic version of who they think He is, you can blame no one else but yourself. By the way, when Jesus Christ Returns as King of kings and LORD of lords, Israel will be fully Jewish, ethnically and biblically. We have His WORD on it.
