Technology is on our side, and so is ChinaReader comment on item: Daniel Pipes: 'Israel Has No Policy' Submitted by yuval Brandstetter MD (Israel), Dec 16, 2010 at 09:14 Every major manufacurer has been showing an EV, or several, to be out in the street by 2012. China, which is gearing up to be the world number one car manufacturer, has pledged half the cars it will make by 2020 will be electric. France, 80 percent of whose electricity is generated by nuclear power is set to be the number one producer of EV's most of which will be of the quick drop variety. It is not I who is behind the ball. It is the USA which is so bound up by its addiction to Oil which will find itself the only major country so bound, and far behind in the tech race. Israel is leading this change on all fronts, extracting energy from the sun in Ivanpah Ca, leeching power from roads by piezo-electric means and providing the smart-grid interface between the EV and the grid.
