There is a reason why I call myself "There is NO Santa Claus".

Electric Vehicles aren't practical. They'll work in the Israeli market because they can't drive anywhere very far (unless they want to be killed).

I'm not denying electric vehicles. I'm just saying that they're years away from practical application. By the time they are practical, the global warming nuts will have pushed electricity prices to prohibitive levels.

The Chinese might make it work because they're thumbing their noses at all the global warming nuts.

I'm a big fan of electric vehicles but they are not a current solution for the American market. The Tesla Roadster holds some potential but they're not going to be mass produced in numbers for several years. Besides, the USA electric grid can't handle them en masse. Full disclosure: I'm an electrical engineer specializing in power systems.

I wouldn't advise you buying an electric vehicle anytime soon if you live in the USA. But hey! If you believe in this fairy tale, put your money where your mouth is and get one NOW. That way, I'll know you're sincere and not just telling the rest of us what we "should do".
