No answer

After listening to Obama's 2 speeches and Netanyahu's 2 speeches, as well as the Bitter Lemons essays and the PA responses, I am now of the opinion that there will be no settlement or peace for at least another generation. The issues are so difficult, and the parties are so far apart on almost all of them. The Arab Spring has only encouraged the Palestinians to be more entrenched and demand even more. And the idea of continued Israeli militiary precense in the West Bank after the partition, while the Plalestinian completely demiliterized will never be acceptable to them.

The problem with this approach is the changing demographics. Ultimately, Israel must strike a 2 state deal. Holding out now may improve the deal down the road - but maybe not. And if not, the results will be devastating.
