Messianic Kingdom, and Its King Defined By IsaiahReader comment on item: A Turning Point in the Arab-Israeli Conflict? Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Jun 1, 2011 at 13:19 Before beginning any dissertation on the establishment of a 'Messianic Kingdom,' one needs to understand the precept by which such a realm is formulated; and to whom the kingdom is to be dedicated. Most importantly, the identification of who the regent of a Messianic is becomes centrally important; vis a vis: Who is the Messiah? Though many will argue to the contrary, the term Messiah is an English transliteration of an ancient Hebrew name for the 'Anointed.' It is cumulative term for many names of the 'Promised One,' the 'Holy One of Israel.' In establishing the basis for any Messianic Kingdom, if this is missed, then the issue degrades into a humanistic debate of how mankind is to escape its own descent into self-destructive search for an elusive world peace that can never be humanly obtained in a one world order. A Messianic Kingdom, by definition, is a kingdom of the peace of the Anointed One. The Middle East regionally is designated as the place for a Messianic Kingdom, and Israel was promised to Abraham as the center of that realm. If one reads the Hebrew Holy Bible, in Abraham's promise, all of the land within the vision given to Abraham is included. By extension, this includes just about everything from Egypt to Turkey, from the Mediterranean to somewhere just west of central Iraq or thereabouts. Though the actual frontier is variable by human interpretation, the center is definitively Jerusalem. Now, we'll not go through the entire body of the Hebrew Scriptures that defines and describes the entirety of the Messianic Kingdom as found in the Hebrew Holy Bible; let it be sufficient to say that it is the only place that such has been fully described to mankind in a way that mankind cannot fully comprehend. Try to understand by the power of the Holy Spirit what Isaiah has written about it, and there a small vignette may be found. In the meantime, in the vanity and arrogance of mankind, there have been myriad attempts to emulate the precepts of a 'messianic' realm on earth, going all the way back to ancient times, and in modern times with the likes of the Third Reich and others. It is written that in the 'end times,' at the close of the church age, a false 'messianic' kingdom is set to be established prior to the True Messiah returning. It is in that circumstance we read of the ten-headed political entity that usurps world power to wrest the kingdom from the earth for demonic purposes. The True Messiah returns to destroy that false kingdom and the true Messianic Kingdom is christened by Him and started on its path through the millennium. In the final analysis, the Messianic Kingdom analogously alluded to by the earlier reader is part of an event yet to come, but as detailed in the Hebrew Holy Scriptures, it is coming. Jesus Christ Himself is its author; and He is the Anointed One designated by Almighty God, the Eternal Father to be its King. Submitting....
