Genocide in velvet gloves

I don't attach much value to international journalism which serves quite specific ends of some nations and powers only. Let's look at the hard numbers behind which both unspeakable human suffering and diabolical political forces at work are hidden.

Since 1991 Russia has been irreversibly losing every year c. 920 000 people which corresponds to the Pskov region or Karelia. For the last 10 years the population in the Russian Far East has been reduced by 40 % and by 60% in the Far North. Recently 11000 villages and settlements and 260 towns have virtually disappeared from the surface of Siberia.

150 000 people are murdered every year. What is interesting though is that the state pays 6800 rubles for a living of every convicted murderer while the same state evaluates the old age pension merely as worth 2 723 rubles! In Ulyanovsk where the NATO is now building its base 70% of ambulances should be scrapped and new ones should be bought while gasoline is no longer paid with cash.The state doesn't care to give any money to save human lives in Ulyanovsk! Well, the NATO base seems to be a priority for those in power !

180 000 people die annually as a result of being affected by harmful influences and substances at workplace while 200 000 people are annually injured at workplace due to wear and tear and rapacious use of the industrial equipment and machinery. There are around 13 000 000 cripples and disabled people in Russia! 890 000 people suffer from tuberculosis. 1 000 000 people are mentally ill. There are between 2 and 5 mln homeless children in Russia !!!Somehow the authorities are hesitant to give the clear number ! There are 2 800 000 registered drug addicts out of which 30 000 die every year due to Afghan heroin alone. You know who stands behind Afghan heroin, don't you ?

Every year 8 mln abortions are carried out. There are 9 000 000 unemployed and yet at the same time the government is forcing a mad immigration policy from cheap labor Moslem countries like Tajikistan or Uzbekistan. 45 000 rubles are spent on a Chechen, 5000 on a Russian.

The minimum wages in Russia are officially established at the level of 4611 rubles while the official survival level is established for adults at 6792 rubles, for children 6076 and for a pensioner 4961 rubles! The life expectancy for a man in Russia is 58,9 years. In Australia it is 79.48 years.

So what the above hints at is very instructive :

: 13,4% of the population live in extreme poverty with income below 3 422 rubles per month

- below the poverty line 27,8% with income from 3.422 to 7.400 rubles

- in poverty 38,8% with income between 7.400 and 17.000 rubles

-slightly above poverty 10,9% with monthly income from 17.000 to 25.000 rubles

- under satisfactory living conditions live 7,3% with incomes between 25.000-50.000

- affluent ones constitute 1,1% with wages of 50.000 до 75.000 per month

- just 0,7% rich have income above 75.000 rubles per month

In other words 90,9% of the population live on the verge of poverty.

At the same time between 1991-2010 more than $ 2 trillion have moved illegally from Russia westwards. Between 2000-2006 new Russians have spent Ł 2,2 billion on buying property in London while in Russia just 2,7% of the apartment area badly needed for the population is built each year.

1,5% of the population have concentrated 50% of the country's national wealth. Annual incomes above $ 1 mln belong to 160 000 people, annual income above 100 000 to 440 families. 92% of big businesses and industries in Russia are foreign property. There are 41 billionaires in the Duma and the Federal Council. The wealth they have amassed amounts to $ 1,056,6 bln rubles. All in all there 114 billionaires in Russia owning $297 bln. The top ten billionaires have increased their wealth by a third in a year reaching 182 bln from 139 bln a year before.

Now don't the numbers tell you anything? You can organize a genocide in a traditional way with razzias, deportations and sites like Auschwitz/Birkenau which you seem to know quite well. But you seem to be totally unaware of a different,more subtle form of genocide -tacit, quiet ,done in velvet gloves in a fashionable office , at a secure distance from its victims with no paid international journalists uttering a word on or against that.

It starts with a fine neoliberal doctrine , proceeds through a fraudulent economic scheme designed to destroy the country it wants to exploit for ever. You buy the elite, re-distribute radically income upwards, depriving 90% of the population of the most basic means of subsistance. You de-industrialize the country , creating thus mass unemployment and despair. You destroy all of its social and moral regulating mechanisms. You demolish its education system, rob the country of its resources which you pass ("privatize" ) into the hand of few oligarchs you praise and call "democrats" because they transfer a few trillion dollars into the Western bank accounts.That annually 920 000 people die directly or indirectly as a result of this scheme must even give you some satisfaction as it shows how efficiently and judiciously you have acted. You have no use for Russia anyway unless as a supplier of cheap girls for Western brothels,cheap scientists for Western institutes and cheap resources for the hungry and fat West.

The result of all of this is easy to foresee - country is defenceless,depopulated and delivered into serfdom for ever.

Well, I once also thought Stalin was such a bad guy. Then I compared what he did and constructed what today's masters of tacit genocides "construct" with their cleptocracies established across the globe and I changed my mind radically. But I don't expect anything similar from you. Every Westerner must see something familiar in those 114 billionaires ruining Russia on behalf of the West something deeply satisfactory. I will never forget a diabolical smile of my compatriot Zbigniew Brzezinski when he said about the Russian elite to a Russian journalist "Is it your elite or ours?"
