It's your call Ibn IsmailReader comment on item: Uncovering Early Islam Submitted by Lactantius Jr (United Kingdom), Jun 12, 2012 at 15:28 To Ibn Ismail, I greet you in the precious Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, the author and distributor of peace, the sinner's all-sufficient Saviour, and I wish for you His peace. I do not accept your invitation to worship Allah, whoever he is, but whoever he is, he is not the true and living God revealed in the printed words of the Holy Bible, and supremely revealed in His living, loving Word, the Lord Jesus Christ. At the time of 911, Mr John Ashworth, the then US Attorney General said that the difference between Christianity and Islam was that the God of the Bible had sent His Son to die for us, whilst the Qur'anic Allah required Muslims' sons to die for him; and that's some difference isn't it? In saying "I don't accept your invitation to human worship," you open up a rich seam which needs mining, that seam being the identity of Allah, the absolute solitary, and Muhammad, his sole mouthpiece/spokesman. This seam has been comprehensively mined by Sam Shamoun in his works, Allah – An Immaterial Entity Or An Invisible Man? and Allah & Mo., Inc. Islam's Foundational Partnership http://tinyurl.com/cnjdxvm Before referring to what the Holy Bible says about the Lord Jesus Christ, and without accepting Qur'anic authority for me, I mention that the Qur'an, which presumably is your ultimate religious authority, gives massive support and authority to the Holy Bible as being revealed by Allah, and as such is unchangeable, unchanged and incorruptible, and ask whether you are aware of this massive Qur'anic testimony to the Holy Bible, have you read it? and if not I will gladly supply a comprehensive list for your study. That being so, I will only cite just one Qur'anic Surah and ayat, that being Surah Al-Ma'ida ("The Table Spread With Food") 5:47 where is found recorded, (M.A.S.Abdel Haleem) "So let the followers of the gospel judge according to what Allah has sent down in it. Those who do not judge according to what Allah has revealed are lawbreakers." I do indeed judge by the gospel ("good, good news" or "news which brings joy") Christians do not worship a human being, the Bible teaches and Christians believe, that in order to reveal Himself to His creation, "God went public," choosing to take on a human form and actually became man in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ without ceasing to be God, the Bible saying, "Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation." Colossians 1:15 "For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body." Colossians 2:9 with the Lord Jesus Christ saying of Himself, "……………………..anyone who has seen me has seen the Father!............................" John 14:9 And here is what the Qur'an has to say about Almighty God, it testifies to His being the, 1."First and the Last," Surah 57:3 2."Sovereign" Surah 57:2; 3:189 3."The Beginning and the End" Surah 92:13 4."Resurrection and Life" Surah 40:68; 40:65 5."Omnipresent" Surah 2:115 6. "Hearer of prayer" Surah 2:186 7."Light of the world" Surah 24:35 8."Forgiver of sins" Surah 3:135 9."Truth" Surah 20:114 10."Day of Judgement" Surah 89:21-23 with Sahi Muslim recording at No 5338, 5339 that Allah is 11."King of kings" The Bible recording the Lord Jesus Christ's extensive use of divine titles and prerogatives at, 1.Revelation 1:17-18 2. Matthew 28:18; John 17:1-2 3. Revelation 21:6-7 4. John 5:25; John 11:25-26; Revelation 1:18 5. Matthew 18:20; Matthew 28:20b 6. John 13:13-14 7. John 8:12; John 9:5 8. Mark 2:5,10a 9. John 14:6 10.Matthew 24:30-31; Matthew 25:31-34,41 11.John 19:36-37; Revelation 17:14 The Lord Jesus Christ's extensive use of divine titles and prerogatives, found in both the Holy Bible and the Qur'an affirms that His self-description is consistent with one claiming to be Almighty God, the use of these titles reveals the Lord Jesus Christ as Almighty God Himself, or at the very least establishes that the Lord Jesus Christ did indeed claim to be Almighty God Himself, no true prophet of the Most High God would make such claims, which would in fact be blasphemous if claimed by just a prophet. As a Muslim, you must conclude that the Lord Jesus Christ's words recorded in the Holy Bible, demonstrate without doubt, that He did indeed claim to be the most High God, in accordance with the Qur'anic passages cited, confirming His authority to make these claims, by His glorious resurrection from the dead, in fulfilment of both prophetic Scripture and of His own predictions recorded on 8 occasions in the New Testament gospels. In finishing by saying that Allah "guides whom he will to the straight path," you point to the capricious and fickle character of Allah, requiring you and other Muslims to be constantly filling your conversations with "Inshallah" ("if Allah wills.") Muhammad's successor Abu Bakr (Abdul Ka'bah Ibn Abi Quhafah) was one of the ten men who Muhammad personally guaranteed would enter al-jannah (the Islamic 'paradise'), however, Abu Bakr knew Allah's deceptive and capricious character too well and was aware that Muhammad's promise was worthless, since Allah, being the greatest deceiver of them all, couldn't be trusted, and whenever he was reminded of his position in Allah's sight, he would say: 'By Allah! I would not rest assured and feel safe from the deception of Allah (la amanu limakr Allah), even if I had one foot in paradise.'" (Khalid Muhammad Khalid, Successors of the Messenger, translated by Muhammad Mahdi al-Sharif [Dar al-Kotob al-Ilmiyah, Beirut Lebanon, 2005], Book One: Abu Bakr Has Come, p. 99; bold and italic emphasis ours) What a sad state of affairs! Abu Bakr was so fearful of Allah's schemes that he still felt that he wouldn't be safe from Allah's deceit even if he already had one foot in paradise! And well may he have been fearful, with Muhammad himself saying that he didn't know what Allah would do with him!!! Surah 46:9 and with the Qur'an saying at Surah 11:118-119 "If thy Lord had so willed, he could have made mankind one people: but they will not cease to dispute. Except those on whom thy Lord hath bestowed his mercy: and for this did he create them: and the word of thy Lord shall be fulfilled, 'I will fill hell with jinns and men all together.'" Compare and contrast this with the true and living Biblical God Who is, "not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9 Whose free gift "is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" Romans 6:23 The Holy Bible and the Qur'an both agree that only Jesus was absolutely sinless, making Him uniquely qualified to be the sinners all-sufficient Saviour, and here is what the New Testament says about human beings' massive problem with sin, telling us the only way out of it, "For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard." Romans 3:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23 "If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness." 1 John 1:8-9 We're all in the same sinking boat Muhammad was in, we're sinners and we need a Saviour Who can be relied upon to keep His word, and His Name is Jesus Christ, who is, "Able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through Him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf." Hebrews 7:25 We're not worth it, we don't deserve it and we can't earn it, as the Holy Bible says, it's a free gift from the God Who loves us so much, He sent our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to pay the price to put us right with Himself, for anyone who will accept the gift, do we want it? because, "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12 The Lord Jesus Christ is our only hope, a sure and certain hope, just take the true and living God at His word, that, "Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved." Acts 2:21 These are all plain, plain words Ibn Ismail, do you want this sure and certain hoper of salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ? what's holding you back from responding to the all-holy living God Who says, "At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you. Indeed, the 'right time' is now. Today is the day of salvation." 2 Corinthians 6:2 Please Ibn Ismail, take the hand of the Biblical God Who "doesn't want anyone to perish" 2 Peter 3:9 and secure your eternal destiny right now, you're going to live forever, choose your address, please choose life in Jesus' Name.
