Dan Pipe's astute analysis

Dan Pipes analysis is very astute. There is a new dynamic going on in the world as a whole and also in the middle east. Israel has only one true friend. The ethereal Creator, Sustainer, and King of the Universe. Who gives humans and nations free will. There is no reason for Israel not to be friendly to and seek mutually beneficial alliances with all peoples and countries that don't work towards genocide against Israel and its Jewish character. The US is rapidly losing its moral standing, political economic standing and overall superpower status. History is full of both dead and diminished powers that Israel has once feared but survives their claws: Byzantines, Ottomans, Roman, Hellenistic, Britain, Canaanite, Persian to name but a few, out of chronological orde,r that once ruled the Middle East. Some of these people and powers totally disappeared while others significantly shrunk in size and power. Such may be the fate of the US sooner than one may imagine.

We are reentering a multipolar world, much like the era prior to WW 1 and WW2. Of course not all the players in the multipower world are equal. And Israel as well as all other counties not tied up in artificial blocs such as the EU should also pursue asymmetric relationships as needed. And stop pretending the Obama administration watches their back other than to stab it or to neutralize Israel from excercizing power to neutralize Iran and other Islamists.

Israel, conceptually portable in the hearts and souls of the Jewish people during their exiles from geographic Israel does have 2 current major enemies that it should work to expel their influence in and out of Israel. The UN and the Islamist bloc. These enemies are also the enemies of many counties and even many Muslims. The EU is a minor enemy due the EU's Euro-Med pro Muslim anti israel policies. Many in the non Executive branch of the US government and of course the American people are still friendly to Israel. But I consider the Obama administration and the institutionalized State Department (since even before WW 2 and Israel's modern statehood) as hostile. Ironically, US efforts to have visible daylight vs Israel will backfire, thanks to Israel's only true friend.

Everything is related. It may very well also be a shifting Jewish American vote that dethrones Obama.
