Israel choosing the not-as-bad :: Reader comments at Daniel Pipes

While there is some grass-roots sympathy for Israel in China (certainly among some underground Christians), official China, in its heart of hearts, sees Israel as a Western imposition on an "anti-imperialist" Middle East. This is also the China that, on the descendants of the Kaifeng Jews' exploring their Jewish heritage and "foreign comrades" going Frum in their old age, started agonizing over "What happened to Russia shortly after THOSE PEOPLE started getting uppity?"
