New World Order: Sharp Power vs. Soft Power

There has not been any activity on this page in 10 years since you posted it. But you identified three (3) of the crucial players on the world stage in relation to the USA. But it appears that Islam and Islamist has turned into an irrelevant matter for Russia in China having "solved" it domestically regarding Muslims in Russia and China.

In the present moment of Russia in Ukraine I direct your attention to this current situation.

Biden (Obama) a short wiles ago, to their credit for a change, recognized that the struggle of the Liberal West was going to be in the Far East, and that the Middle East was a mere humanitarian distraction.

And now we see in the article above how China and Russia are planning their ECONOMIC WAR involving Russia Oil and Gas, and China Financial policy of replacing the Mighty Dollar.

The new (Paradigm Shift) notion introduced in the article cited by me above is Sharp power vs, Soft Power, and that I can summarize (Metaphorically) as the Battle Between Truth of the West and the Lies of the East, by which I mean, if you haven't guessed already, who controls the Web or Internet. All one needs to do in that regard is read about "Speech" and "Press" Freedom on cyberspace in Russia, China, ("Western") Israel, and Islamist Iran. As a brief example involving Russia, there are only police actions, not a war, in Ukraine, and now 15% of Ukraine (4 oblasts, provinces) are legally part of the Russian Federation because of 4 referenda show that the people there voted for it. Is there another voice in Russia saying otherwise? No. Why? Because of Putin's use of Sharp Power he controls the Media, and especially the most important media, which is the Web in all of Russia.
