Even When Time Dictates a Change in World Politics in View of the Middle East, Some Things Never Change

Over ten years ago, this observer noted the circumstances as prognosticated above; looking back, what has changed? From the American perspective, the 44th American Chief Executive's agenda still is in view now.
From that time until now, to the 46th Executive's agenda poses the question, what's different now from then?
Not all that much; what was observed then still prevails. We'll wait another 10 years (if it gets to be that long) and then we'll revisit it again.
