Money makes the world go roundReader comment on item: Russia, China & Israel against Islamism? Submitted by Pantelis (Greece), Jul 8, 2012 at 18:59 It is more than the common danger against radical islam,or the technological relation between the three countries or the thousands of russian origins Israelis or the relation with Syria and Iran (and thus the possibility of diplomatic intervention of Russia). Of course it is also those reasons, but mainly Russia and China want to strengthen their relations with Israel because of the wealth of the area. Russia and China consider like a juicy steak the oil of fields of the area.Gazprom has already tried to gain access to the cypriot gas and Russia is currently considering a cry for financial help from the government of Cyprus. So, They have good relation with Cyprus, with the Arab countries and can easily expand their good relations with Greece. I think that Russia and China want to offer their support to Israelis, especially now that their relation with Obama isn't at it its best. They might gain something or they just hope that they will. On the other hand i think that Israel will use this visit just to remind to the USA that there are also others who are interested in this area.
