Will the US ever learn from mistakes?Reader comment on item: Romney Channels George W. Bush's Middle East Policy Submitted by Anne (United States), Oct 9, 2012 at 12:10 Frankly, I agree with Dr. Pipes, on not implementing the same policies of the past, you can't change Islam's ideologies by going into their countries. (They do not want peace!) They have to be willing to learn from their mistakes and oppression, not wars...I don't believe the video should have been shown at all, many of us are not Muslims, but we don't deliberately provoke disrespect about someone's religion...It would be nice if Islam would be as tolerant of other people's viewpoints as other countries are of theirs. Specifically I would not re-elect Mr. Obama because his policies have enabled the Muslim Brotherhood and brought more harm to the people in the MIddle East, America, and Israel, (including a nuclear armed Iran,) and as we see, there is not going to be fairness, or a civilized approach to other religions, or people, unless they all submit to Islamic law. Our leaders continually think they can sit down with Radical Terrorists and come to a common understanding that will bring lasting peace. That is absolute deception. Ask yourself, Why on earth would the State Department cut security for the Ambassador Steven's protection...What possible reason other than trying to make people believe there is an understanding of cooperation of peace between Libya and America...What a total farce. I do, however believe that President Bush did not believe in allowing Terrorists to intimidate nations and have the upper hand, and I don't believe Mr. Romney does either!
