It's not just the culture...

The electorate has become something of a shifting target too in America. Take the winnowing presence of Anglo American voters the majority of whom voted for Romney and the surge of Latin American voters who (predictably) in line with Democratic Party strategy vote for welfare rights. Given some 60-70% of new arrivals from south America are dependent on welfare the moment they step in the door voting Democrat is simply serving their best personal interests (in the short term at least until the money runs out).

This may bankrupt the country and be against the explicit and implicit well founded wishes of the founding fathers but there is no tangible nexus between these people and many of their lineal descendents philosophically - let alone with the new arrivals. In short even if you reclaimed significant proportions of the US media and 'culture' the demographic energy is against classical liberal values.
