I agree with everything you wrote here, Anne, but I very much doubt that "Romney could have turned the economy around, and stopped the job killing regulations and tax hikes, as well as stopped the out of control spending and entitlements that are bankrupting this country and heading on the road to Greece."

He might have done some good, but there is a lot more radical surgery needed now than he could accomplish, IMO. For example, Reagan found it impossible to reverse red-tape regulations because of the way the system is set up. More than 90% of the laws put in place every year in America are the dictates, not by elected and accountable representatives of the citizenry, but of unelected bureaucrats; and the policies in place in most government agencies reward managers for increasing the number of people they manage, not for cutting costs or efficiency.
