Apologies for getting your name wrong, I just read the name you signed under. Ali Baba ain't my real name either.

Just to be clear, I've never been under the illusion that Obama is a saint, he's a politician like all others. I've also mentioned that no matter which party runs the White House/Congress/etc, the corporations will always remain the big winners. They'll just win more with a Republican.

Yes, I do believe in social equality...that "...all men are created equal". Regardless of whether they are black, or white, or hispanic, or Jewish, or even God-forbid Muslim. Also notice the Constitution doesn't say all American men, therefore it applies to all nations, races, and ethnicities. I guess the Constitution itself is multicultural...well I'll be damned!

I think you mentioned you are a Christian. Its interesting to note that if Christ were alive today he'd have spent more time with a Chinese sweatshop worker than aboard Mitt Romney's 200 foot yacht.

Perhaps you'd do well to go back and take a US history course - preferably not in the state of Texas - and maybe then you could realize that a "democracy" and a "republic" are not mutually exclusive. Perhaps you'd be surprised to learn that the United States, is by design, a representative democracy. You vote for representatives who represent your opinions in your local/state/national Congresses. A similarly indirect vote chooses the President. Like it or not, you have an indirect say in choosing all three branches of the US government. That my friend, is rule of the people or democracy, be it a republic or whatever else. Besides, its your ideological pundits on Fox News going on ad nauseum about spreading, what? yeah DEMOCRACY in Iraq and Afghanistan so that they will be more "like us".
