Dhimmi needs a reality checkReader comment on item: Disappearing Christians in the Middle East Submitted by Ali Baba (United States), Jan 30, 2013 at 02:13 The so called Muslim leadership in India killed a lot of Muslims also. Apart from Aurangzeb, none of the Mughals ascribed to any form of political Islam. Aurangzeb even killed his own brother, Shikoh, so religion was less on his mind, than consolidation of power. In fact, Akbar even created his own religion and even married a Hindu princess. Other rulers such as Sher Shah Suri and Tamerlane probably killed just as many Muslims as they did non-muslims. Murderers they were, but not necessarily religious ones. Territory, gold, and jewels were their prime motivations, not converting everyone by the sword, given that 75% of the population never converted.
