MIDDLE EAST UPRISINGS

It must have been apparent to everybody that the Muslim Brotherhood, and similar organisations, were just waiting in the wings of the various "Arab Spring" uprisings, even if they did not foment the dissatisfaction of the populace in the first place. Like another contributor, I have been heartened to see that the Egyptians, by and large, have really tried hard to shake off the yoke of radical Islam to try and better themselves. The whole business around the Middle East seems to me to have been planned for a long time. Every leader, rotten or not, was able to get along with the West - even though it may have been a troubled relationship. This means that they had to be got rid of by the fundamentalists. The target of course was to surround Israel and then "drive her into the sea". This is all prophesised in the Old Testament. However, it is also prophesised that the enemies of Israel will all perish, and that is what's happening now - they are eating themselves alive. I feel profound sorrow for those men, women and children who are quite innocently caught up in all this and suffering.
