It is important that we be consistentReader comment on item: What Turkey's Riots Mean Submitted by Amit Srivastava (India), Jun 19, 2013 at 10:43 When economic selfishness has become the decisive and the most important factor in driving politics, humans are increasingly developing a very original and novel way to devalue their currencies; through protests. These not only drive up the cost to maintain the state but also increase inflation; both economic and non-economic. From evolutionary point of view they are suicidal and self-containing: for all increments and growth, there is some reduction and regression. With increasing comforts and improving technologies many humans are developing way to end 'their' species. May be that is intrinsic to botanical and zoological evolutions on earth with millions of species lost during evolution and this is continuing. As a result of diffusiveness and unending disproportionality, many humans may delete the much required inertias and peer-pressure may help the negativity. But such adaptation would not lead to extinction of humans as a specie, but extinction of rationality and objectivity: 'as much as we say and as long as we wish' appears to be the motto of majority of humans and nationalism induced by consumerism make it more urgent and tempting. 'Above us equality and below us let the brazen laws of market dictate the evolution': such propositions are very dangerous for humans. Humans as a group would become half-rational with newer science increasing rationality but politics and psychology ending it partly: a constant dose of appreciation and de-appreciation. For this reason conservatives matter more: American conservatives most. In order to continue progress with rationality keeping the local spirits and values intact, it matters a lot that conservatives minimally hold their present positions and do not loose any. If American conservatives: Republicans, keep their opinions intact and are able to compete ably with much adapted and morphed political species: Democrats, then it would be a great service to humanity. On the flip side winning is more important as it keeps the ideology intact and makes it spread further. People should adapt and update, but for their betterment and not for committing 'evolutionary suicide'. Freedom with responsibility should be the guiding theme for all liberty-seeking people. This should be globally true. Submitting....
