Knowing the perversity and perfidy of the Levant I would not be surprised by such a development at all. After all al-Qaeda is a friend of the US so is Israel , therefore can a friend refuse to help his friend's friend ? I can imagine e.g. al-Qaeda terrorists encircled by Assad but rescued at the most moment from "genocide" by the IDF on instigation from the White House and then together establishing in Syria sort of a Levant Kosovo or Bosnia with America's wahhabi friends pumping billions of bucks into the country to build more mosques and Quranic schools and al-Qaeda camps and America's predatory corporations looting the country "for democracy's sake". Submitting....
