announce nothing do nothing

Announcing "nothing" about the Jews in the West Bank will prove easy to follow with a "do nothing" should the situation present itself in a very distant future. Even better, the statement does not imply any immediate follow up actions. That alone makes it a master stroke.

What it does however is to make the listener think about what happened last time Israel left a territory. Dressed as statement about the future it is actually Netanyahu's statement about the past. The past is all facts. The future is all emotions.

The announce-nothing-do-nothing approach will prove far superior to Obama's announce-red-line-do-nothing policies.
