Judenrein, Pale of Settlement, and ethnic-cleansing - of JewsReader comment on item: Jews Living in Palestine? Submitted by Ludvikus (United States), Jun 8, 2014 at 09:55 Dear Daniel Pipes, I am aware how much you emphasize the difference between Strategy and Advocacy on your Middle East Forum - that you do not wish to engage in the latter, but on the former, here. However, as I'm sure you are aware, the only place where the "Palestinian" Arabs are winning after their Nakba, is their "propaganda war. Therefore, here is wonderful Netanyahu accurately (in my view) invoking, in 2009, the Nazi term JUDENREIN against the Palestinian cause in the presence of the German Foreign Minister, Frank-Walter Steinmeier: http://www.reuters.com/article/2009/07/09/us-israel-palestinians-judenrein-idUSTRE5685LP20090709 As you can see, it was considered un-diplomatic, not in keeping with Protocold (no pun intended). But the fact is that related terms, in other historical contexts, are invoked against Israel to support Palestinian "victimhood." For example, Israel is an "Apartheid state" (South African history). Or Israel is engaged in "ethnic cleansing" (not used when Jews are the victims). But there a milder term than can be used, taking Germany off the hook: "The Pale of Sellement" where Jews in the Russian Empire were restrict to a particular part thereof, and prohibited from sellting outside of it. There is also the fact of the European Ghetto - it's possible to claim that for Arabs the outside-of-Palestine is the Ghetto where Jews may live. Accordingly, Israel is, we should say, the Pale of Settlement to which Fatah (not Hamas) wish to confine Jews; as for Hamas, like Nasser, they wish to drive the Jews into the Medditerainian Sea. But I have no problem, in the context of current events, of alleging or claiming Judenrein Eurabian, Islamist, and Palestinian policy. And of course, Israel is to be diluted and flooded with all the 5,000,000 Palestinian refugees in "peace" while not a single Jew is to remain "settle" in any future "new" Palestinian state.
