The NotionReader comment on item: The Rushdie Fatwa 25 Years Later Submitted by Mark D. (United States), Feb 17, 2014 at 20:20 Multiculturalism is the idea that all cultures have equivalent value. I compare it to the notion that various cuisines are delicious. You don't say. Italian culture whiz right past any culture since I love Italian cuisine most - always, without fail, every time, forever and ever. Then there are many who like Chinese cuisine so Chinese culture receives high marks for many people. I must say Jewish cuisine belong to the bottom group since only Jews seem to like it. But seriously, I have never had genuine interest in the concept of multiculturalism except to ask for definition, and then Wikipedia overcomplicates it. Just keep religion out of government, schools, and the work place, I say. I do not care what the race or ethnicity of the individual is or in the case of New York City, where I live, nationality.
