Israel is extremely weak.Reader comment on item: The West Lacks a Plan Submitted by Michael S. (United States), Sep 8, 2014 at 18:14 Hello, BB. You said, "Israel is Stronger than ever... Israel did what was possible, and in the best way. The war is not over, and wont be in the years to came. This will be a war of decades." If you meant, "Israel did what SEEMED possible", I would accept what you said. It is not impossible, to conquer a territory 139 sq. mi. in area. In 1967, Israel conquered an area of 23,166 square miles, and did so in fewer than six days -- BESIDES the Gaza Strip, Judea & Samaria and Golan. What has changed so much, in 47 years? Gaza? Has Gaza somehow become impregnable? If tiny Gaza is so impregnable, why is Israel so vulnerable? Why do they endure daily rocket attacks by ever-more-advanced rockets? Is it because, as you say, it is "impossible" to stop them? It is not impossible for a "strong" Israel to stop them. It is impossible for a weak Israel; and Israel is weak -- weaker than in 1995, 1984, weaker than in 1973, weaker than in 1967, weaker than in 1956 and weaker than in 1948. It is weaker, in fact, than at any time since the Shoah. It is as weak as it was in the time of Joshua, when it could not conquer the little city of Ai.
