A challenge for Dr. Pipes

As I will briefly describe, I see a ready solution to the Islamic menace sweeping the world today. My suggested plan focuses primarily on the United States but can be duplicated elsewhere. It is not perfect, but for the first time in a long time it is a plan which places solid ground under our feet.

I'll say it again, these five steps are not perfect. But wringing our hands, hoping for the purveyors of so-called moderate Islam to come to our rescue will get us nothing but beheaded. Literally as well as figuratively.

As such, I challenge Dr. Pipes or any other person of wisdom to come up with a better set of ideas.

1. This is war. We are at war and must recognize the name of our foe. We are not at war against ISIS or ISIL or al Qaeda or Hamas or any other single entity. We are at war against Islam. We did not declare this war and we may not wish to fight. But fight and win we must. The way ahead will not be easy. It will certainly not be "politically correct".

2. No more politically correct stupidity. This means we must begin by banning Islam from our society as Naziism was banned after World War II. As we do so we have to realize that there may indeed be nice moderate Muslims. But there is no such thing as nice moderate Islam. This means nothing less than shuttering all mosques, ceasing the immigration of Muslims, and implementing a plan to contain and control those Muslims who are already in the United States.

3. We must secure our borders.

4. We must begin to communicate a radically different message. To our people, to our friends, as well as to our foes. That message is, Western plurocratic civilization is not simply different than Islam. It's better! And it is worth protecting, defending and enriching. As Islam is practiced today it is antithetical to the norms and fundamentals of secular Judeo Christian society. There is no room in our civilization for an erosive, atavistic, misogynist evil force like Islam.

5. We must recognize friend from foe. Pointedly, Israel is our friend. Saudi Arabia is not. Those who are our friends will be offered our undying loyal support. Those who are not our friends should recognize that we are no longer willing to look the other way to accommodate their feality to the horror show Islam.

Islam may indeed one day evolve into something moderate, pluralistic and reasonable. But until it does it must be contained and defused. Before it's too late we should take aggressive steps to protect ourselves and our children from its toxic influence as we protect ourselves from the horrors of smallpox & tuberculosis.
