your commentReader comment on item: The West Lacks a Plan Submitted by Mark (United States), Sep 4, 2015 at 23:41 Michael, It is very obvious to me that your view is skewed by your love for Israel which is something i admire but in the same token you are surely wrong about Egypt and here is why: - In terms of Desperation per your statement. i am going to give you an advise , the land of the pharaohs will never be desperate . The land that the holy family (i.e., Lord Jesus, Mary and Joseph) chose to live and bless for two years will never be desperate. All what you need to do is read the history and you will see that Egypt has a special place with GOD. Why go far, please read Isaiah :19 which is a prophecy about Egypt and you will find the only country outside of Isreal that GOD mentioned that he will have a temple in the middle of that country is EGYPT. - How can a country be desperate according to your view while in a span of two years spent more than 10 billion dollars on purchasing military weapon. Does your statement make sense to your logical mind? By the way part of this fund is a loan from France to be paid within four year. Is the French are that stupid to lend a financially despreate country over 3 billion dollars? Do you really think that this is logic. How in the world the western writers talks about truth and logical not emotional thinking while i see you completely doing the opposite. - You are talking about China before the crash, well what do you think now about China after the crash? By the way you have seen nothing yet. Does China with the current situation seems a good place to invest taking into consideration the stock market meltdown. My view is that China will get back in modest growth track but after addressing the corruptions and the banking problems. Did not i told you before that it is so obvious that you have neither education nor insight when it comes to economics. - Let me get back to the desperation part. How come you did not comment on my statistical truth about the billion of dollars that poured into Egypt for the past few month . Is this a country that sounds desperate to you? -Let me move forward to the new discovery about gas by ENI corporation, How do you think of the future of Egypt now? By the way i was am and will be bulish about Egypt not because of Suz Canal or gas discovery or any of these factors. I am builsh because when Egyptians want to achieve something that might sound impossible to other human , they will do it no matter how impossilbe it might be. The new Suez Canal is a symbolic gesture about how great of a potential this country is. - In terms of the investment banks, Which firm do you think Jim o'neil the britich economist worked for ? Did not he worked for Goldman Sach , okay if so do you know what Mr. O'niel invented? He invented something called the BRICS, he registered his patent almost 20 years ago and the question is what did he do? The answer , he used an economic forecast about the future for the BIRCS countries telling the rest of the world that these economies will dominat the globe and sure enough , they did. So you are absolutely wrong . Jim O'neil worked for investment bank (i.e., Goldman Sach) and he was their international chief economist. So Michael there is something called economic forecast for the future but I am not blaming you for not understanding that because agiin you lack the economic education/knowlege . This same investment bank and (i.e., Goldman ) and many more banks holds very positive economic view about this country that you call it desperate. Talking about desperation, what do you think about a country like Israel that relies on US for military support (i.e., over 3 billion aid/per year). Without US support , Israel will seize to exist. Go and read the history and see who saved Israel during 1973 war with Egypt. By the way , i love Israel but in the same token I am stating a fact and not like you that try to dance around the truth. It is a blessing for Egypt that tourism revenue is weak right now , do you know why? i will tell you why, it will force the government to go aggressive on economic reforms to generate more foreign currency (i.e,, exports) by paying a great attention to the industrial sector in Egypt. Do you know Egypt launched 1.5 million acres mega project that will turn all these acres from wastelands to agricultural producing all kind of agrecultural products. There is over ten Mega projects that are going on right now in this country that will surely change the future of Egypt and that is why I am so bulish about this country. Finally how come you did not address my remarks about cario stock exchange being among the top emerging markets when it comes to return on investments. You did not comments because it is true. Please do yourself a favor and be honest with yourself first before teaching others about the truth. Mark
