i agree with all of what you write above except "

If we can get rid of Erdogan and have a descent new government in Turkey, I believe Turkey can be a very positive contributor to Middle East in general.

Supporting Erdogan as a role model for "moderate islam" was a big mistake of EU and US.

Religions and religious guys can/should no more constitute the basis of our new world.
