Footmote in history? I don't think so...Reader comment on item: Criticisms of the U.S.-led Air Campaign against ISIS Submitted by sara (United States), Oct 1, 2014 at 21:16 Barry, I don't agree with your assessment that Al Qaeda is now a 'footnote in history', nor that it will be the fate of Islamist groups like IS for a while to come. Much more needs to happen besides military action and boots on the ground such as going after the financiers, the bank facilitators, the governments allied and in cahoots under the guise of humanitarian assistance. That is in fact the biggest obstacle to overcome in order for anything to be a 'footnote', short of a massive war. The separation of the humanitarian and social arms from the military terrorist arms of these jihadist entities. They are entwined and both embody the beliefs of the Muslims who follow them.
