Obama doctrine

For once, I find mr. Pipes totally mistaken. Obama is not exercising a new doctrine. He has reversed to the doctrines exercised by USA during the cold war. Which were very cautious in order to avoid war and overstretching amerivan resources.

After the cold war, USA was struck with hybris, especially after the first golf war. This lead into the second golf war and the iraqui and afghanistan campaigns. Here Obama expected, that USA could not win but waste an awfull lot of resources. Since then, he has made it his main objective to restablish the american economy and avoid more costly and endless wars.
