The US War Against Israel

The US X-band radar stationed in Israel reminds me of the USS Liberty during the 1967 War. Yes, they keep track of Israeli activity; but Israel also keeps track of them. If the US wants to run interference for the Iranians, they, can also use "coalition" aircraft flying over Iraq and Syria.

Israel has 2000 years of history, operating in its self-interest in hostile surroundings. The US, on the other hand, has a history of treading with the delicacy of a charging elephant wherever it's engaged. The two allies have never operated the same way in the same space, and I don't expect them to in the future.

Notice that I called them "allies". The US Congress and the American people have been pro-Israel for decades, while the State Department and most Administrations have been anti-Israel. When push comes to shove, though, we usually end up helping Israel because we have no choice; because an Israeli defeat would be trumpeted around the world as a MAJOR American defeat -- one that even the traitor Obama could not live down.

If anyone has any doubts about how Obama stands toward Israel, one only needs to note that Jonathan Pollard is still languishing in prison.
