Submitted by Jeff (United States), Jun 2, 2016 at 22:14 Hi Michael, I couldn't agree more, cantankerous though they may be (I can honestly say I have never been in France even once without being affected to some degree or other by a labor strike) the French have been true friends since the beginning of our history. My point, which I may not have expressed that well, was more about our leaders than theirs. I'm amazed at our so-called leaders' reticence (backed up by our silent free press) to say a word about actions they vehemently disagree with. Bringing attention to what the French are doing might give us Neanderthal Americans (our own leaders' opinion) the dangerous idea that our lives matter, too. What then?
