The Qu'ran, compared with our true Creator's book - the Bible, is a hopeless effort to provide a counterfeit sufficient to deflect the truth. Jesus, the Christ and His apostles, brought a final completion to scripture from our Divine God.
The Qu'ran is self serving to Islam in that it projects one religion to suit a weakened Muslim presence in any country or among any people, and then does a total and complete flip-flop as did their prophet himself to suit a newly acquired strength either militarily or politically. Either way, Islam becomes intensely aggressive, militant, ruthless, and adamant about the establishment of Sharia once the Muslim population achieves somewhere around a %5 to %8 demographic.
"Peace" as understood within the Muslim establishment is possible only after Islam and Sharia have established absolute and total dominance. As manifested by Muhammad, this dominance is achieved by any means at all - slaughter, beheading, enslavement, etc. The goal justifies any means at all as evidenced by the various Muslim militants all over planet earth. Muhammad set the standard.
