Making Jewish blood run coldReader comment on item: NATO's Turkey Challenge Submitted by Michael S (United States), May 31, 2018 at 14:55 Tovey, It's at times like these, that I'm glad I'm in the company of Jews -- and agnostic Jews, at that. I don't know if the doctrines you speak (mind you, doctrines very, very popular in the Evangelical community) look as nonsensical to Daniel and other Jews here, as they do to me. If you and I agree on anything, it is that the (very few) scriptures you are citing and twisting are, indeed, correct. For instance, all things have indeed been made by the spoken word of God. Just how you can come to the conclusion that "the WORD could not become flesh in Adam, since when Adam was created (not born, as Jesus was) he was sinless". Say what? Adam was created by the word; adam was flesh; therefore when Adam was created, the word became flesh. That sounds pretty straitforward to me. Maybe we need to revert to Greek, so we can speak a common language. Jesus could not have resisted the Devil if he were human? What, then, does this mean: James 4: You've taken "The Devil made me do it!" to the extreme. Is James implying that we have somehow become gods, that we can resist the devil? There is so much wrong with your thinking -- which again, I will say to excuse you, is a way of thinking that is widespread among Evangelicals. I will not broach those things, though; because then you will be able to ignore me, point by point, and try to gloss things over. Tell me: Are we humans able to resist temptation? or must we become gods first? If Daniel and others are to get anything out of this discussion, it ought to be this: 1. Evangelicals are the backbone of Trump's support, and the main part of American support for Israel. 2. Evangelicals are ready and willing to turn against EACH OTHER on a dime, over fantastic nuances of doctrines. How much more likely are they, when crunch time comes, likely to turn against the Jews? The realization of that, ought to make Jewish blood run cold.
