Absurdity of Islamic theocraciesReader comment on item: Tectonic Shifts in Attitudes toward Israel Submitted by Prashant, Jan 16, 2019 at 19:52 Dear Dr Pipes, In the context of Muslims calling every other scripture a corrupted, our own Dhimmi No More asked a very pertinent question. DNM very correctly asked which among the many versions of Islam was the authentic version. The answer is very simple: it is difficult to prove which version of Islam is the only authentic versions. But I want to extend DNM's argument further. Given that there is so much fratricidal killings in Islamic wars, it is clear that Muslims do not agree with each other. Some of them do not pray at all. Some pray five times a day but not 35 times a week. Every Muslim chooses their own version of the fasts in Ramadan. Some marry four times some are happy after marrying once. Some Muslim women go uncovered some others wear skin tight burkhas and jeans. The list can go on and on. So Islam as practiced is different for each Muslims. If such is the case then the idea of creating a theocracy in which all peopel can live under one religion is absurd. It is indeed absurd. Whose version of Islam would you impose on every one? And why would you impose a version of Islam on any one that you do not follow yourself? In my opinion, Muslims follow and support their religions for teh purpose of political hegemony only. They violate their religion by convenience but stand under a single banner at the time of conflicts with non-Muslims. This must stop. This must be stopped.
