Our dear Raul and our dear Robert and the bogus Quranic miracle of "Number 19"!Reader comment on item: Tectonic Shifts in Attitudes toward Israel Submitted by dhimmi no more, Jan 19, 2019 at 10:06 Dear readers: Every tablighee and his cousin tell us: There is a "Number 19" miracle in the Qur'an! And the evidence? Well according to them the number of letters in the Basmala (Or Bism Allah al-Rahman al-Rahim) is 19. Well let us check it and here is the basmala: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Let us start counting: 1. بسم or Bism! Which is poor Arabic! However if we turn to Q96:1 we find the correct Arabic or بإسم and here is the word in the verse: اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ where the middle word is Bi Ism in Arabic the letter Ba means "In" and we have the correct spelling of the word اسم So far we have 4 letters instead of 3 letters in the Basmla 2. الله or Allah! However al-Tabari tells us that the word Allah is a contraction of the word الالاه in Classical Arabic or 6 letters and الاله in Quranic Arabic or 5 letters However, notice that the word Allah has a shadda (or double consonant) as well as an Alif above the second lam so we have not just 4 letters but 6 letters! 3. الرحمن which is edited by al-Mufasereen as الرّحمان and the Shadda (double consonant) means that the word should be الررحمان or 8 letters 4. الرحيم which is edited by al-mufasereen as الرّحيم and by adding the shadda (double consonant) above the Ra it becomes الررحيم or 7 letters So let us count: 4+6+8+7= 25 letters and not 19 letters! This is enough to debunk this big fat lie More disasters? In the Arabic language we also have short vowels: fatha, damma and kasra and they are very essential in being able to read the Arabic text! So where is the Basmala with short vowels added: بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ 1. So بِسْمِ Or Bismi we have a Kasra (short a letter) below the Ba and a Kasra below the letter Meem or 2 short vowels 2. اللَّهِ or Allahi or a fatha above the letter Lam and a kasra below the letter Ha or 2 short vowels 3. الرَّحْمَٰنِ or al-Rrahmani or a fatha bove the letter Ra and a fatha above the letter meem and a kasra below the letter nuun or 3 short vowels 4. الرَّحِيمِ or al-Rrahimi or a fatha above the letter Ra and kasras below the letter Ha and meem or 3 short vowels So here is the short vowels count: 2+2+3+3= 10 So the total count is 35 not the bogus 19! Any comments our dear Raul and our dear Robert? What a disaster
