Projecting Post-Pacifistic Paradigm:
Why European Union – United Nations View of Peace are Problematically Anti-American:
Once again, Dr. Pipes projects about a worldwide incapacity to deal with modern dilemmas in a middle darks ages mentality. One example of this is the inexplicably naïve attitude towards the handling of an out-of-control Turkey, one of the region's most paradoxical locations of confrontational dynamics in history; the Ottoman sultanate only losing power in 1922 and the ruling family ostracized for democracy. But democracy was not to last in the same way democracy might have been achieved elsewhere.
Why do we here mention the Turkish regime as only one of the regional issues while, as Dr. Pipes mentions other players in a theater that the 46th American Administration is changing American policy, the only one that appears ambiguous to Dr. Pipes is Turkey. Why is that?
Certainly, the Middle East paradigm is in, yet again, a changing dynamic for reasons that are occurring, not in the circumstances of the main actors continuing to be hostile towards Israel which for the currency of the times, is not going away into that dark night; yet. But the situation to watch is that America, for a while under the previous presidency, made all the other actors in the theatre extremely uncomfortable (with the likely exception of Israel), especially with the Iranian Islamic Regime's malfeasance of not-so-secret nuclear ambitions and everyone wondering when the next shoe would be thrown.
Of all the things that may have slowed the Regime down, only two made the Iranian Islamic Regime uncharacteristically flinch; the passing of Quds leader Soleimani and the nuclear scientist that had remained in the background until his untimely departure recently. While these circumstances may have caused the Regime to regroup, they have not lost their intense desire to overwhelm the region; and are in a dictatorial posture in which the current American 46th Administration (whoever is the Chief Executive remains to be seen and after which the 45th Chief Executive policies are now beyond recovery), cannot gain any traction in order to contain the nuclear ambitions of a decidedly rogue nation attitude resulting in wartime standing all around.
Further examinations of world politics as viewed by the 46th America Administration are in limbo, that while there are multiple (and sometimes conflicting) expression of the attempts to distance developing policies away from the former policies of the former 45th America Administration, the inconsistencies from one to another are definitively going to be the cause of dramatic, if not cataclysmic circumstances developing on the horizon. In one way there is a certainty; that the Middle East does appear to have the distinction of being the proximal cause of a change of determinations in the now floundering approach to peace in the Middle East; with the Chinese using the deflection of attention (culpability for COVID-19 notwithstanding) for their own ambitions of design of empire, eventually being turned towards the Middle East. If Americans are from Mars (interesting that the war deity is Mars) and Europeans are from Venus (unconvincing analogy), China comes in as being from Jupiter (red-spotted giant).
Dr. Pipes is commenting on a status quo moment: that moment is short lived; for the very reasons he postulates. No one is prepared for what is on the horizon, something this observer has been challenged about for a variety of conjectures. There are ultimate circumstances for this position, but the intermediate reason is still formulating and apparently, the current 46th America Administration is still ambivalent for yet unrevealed reasons; or more tantalizingly, they have no clue either, something even the esteemed Dr. Pipes cannot postulate about.
In any event, the next situation is actually simmering on the eve of the political unrest fomenting all around Israel before her elections. Does anyone care to postulate on that?
