Defending Israel - if not US then Who? People cannot depend on their (democratic) governmentsReader comment on item: Biden's Emerging Foreign Policy Submitted by Prashant (United States), May 9, 2021 at 17:29 Dear Dr Pipes, M Tovey asks the question that who must defend Israel if not US. My answer is that US cannot really defend Israel. In fact, even Israel cannot defend Israel. Why do I say that? Because the free world is committed to 1) democracy and 2) our non-Islamic religions. Neither our democratic ideals nor our religious doctrines can match Islam in hypocrisy, selfishness, violence, or self-righteousness. So we are doomed if we remain democratic and we are doomed if we create our own theocracies. Israel is a theocracy after all. Nepal was also a theocracy till a few years ago. Christian nations of Europe are also technically Christian theocracies (but practically secular). The hands are of the free world are tied behind our backs as we wage our battle against Islamic religio-political system. So who will defend Israel and everyone else? Our democratic politicians will keep on selling our interests to Islamic forces. So we cannot count on our governments. My answer is that people will defend people. I and you will have to defend Israeli Jews. You and israeli Jews will have to defend me when my time comes. I am already doing the job. Right now. This letter is my intellectual fight against Islamic religio-political hegemony.
