Wonderful information, with one scary assumption

How sad to read Dr. Pipes' excellent article about the newest benchmark in the Westernization of the "radical house" of Islamism--the open, bloody hand of violence. Not unexpected, but sad.

Only one thing puzzles me:

"becoming the first Christian-born Western woman to kill herself for Islamist purposes"

How is it possible for one to accept their Savior just by being born in a certain geographical location? In fact, it is not possible. To follow the Christ is a choice each believer must make--a choice that begins a lifetime of "spiritual retooling" into the mature form their God desires for them. Every human being who ever lived must make a choice in life: The Creator God, Who chose Abraham, father of Israel, or the defeated former lord of this world. The struggle against the living God is in human hearts and minds, not in geography. The war that plays out in the world is only the reflection of that greater battle.

Many in the world imagine that anyone who happens to be born in a western nation is automatically a follower of the Bible God. Then they ascribe the wicked actions of unbelievers to the Living God, falsely accusing Him of every sort of evil. We must not fall into this trap. The article Dr. Pipes cites describes a woman with a selfish, rebellious spirit who was drawn to a false god--to her own destruction. This is not the character of a "christian girl converted to Islam" -- only the sad story of another unbeliever deceived to her own destruction. How can I guess such a thing about a stranger? I remember the words of Jesus the Christ: "By their fruits you will know them." This means we limited humans can only judge a soul's condition by the actions that person takes.

The only "profiling" that will ever hold eternal significance is this test of the heart. Many who imagine themselves to be "christian" by an accident of birth have no foundation. Their spirits are easily drawn to evil because there is in them no Good and Holy Spirit. Because of this strong delusion, many will turn down the broad path of destruction. We cannot be surprised by the growing list of Western suicide-murderers. They only follow a god of murders and lies, in faithful ignorance and pride. The global wars described thousands of years ago by faithful prophets will be fought to their inevitable conclusion. Sadly, many souls will learn too late that their decision truly was for death--their eternal death--instead of life.
