Suggestion for Mr. GiannascaReader comment on item: Converts to Terrorism Submitted by No Dhimmi (United States), Dec 8, 2005 at 15:54 Mr. Giannasca,The next time you have a discussion with your step-daughter about Islam ask her why she would join a religion that kills those who leave i.e. an apostate. She may say you are wrong. She may even go as far as to say that the Qur'an says that there is no compulsion in religion. Tell her that that is true. Tell her that is for those who have not converted to Islam. A complete examination of Dawa' is for another time which includes death for those who are not "People of the Book." Also tell her that Islamic law, Sharia and certain Hadiths call for the killing of those who leave Islam. A man is given 3 days to return or he is killed. A woman is banished to seclusion until she returns. She can be flogged too. If you have not broached the subject of polygamy, that may be another subject. If it is open to discussion, ask her how she feels about her future husband having another wife or two. Depending on how old she is, you maybe able to appeal to her vanity and ask her how she would feel after having two or three kids, the "love handles" aren't going away, gravity is affecting other areas of her anatomy and her husband announces he is getting another wife, a young 17 y/o for India or Pakistan or Egypt. She may say that that would never happen. I know you can find sites where you can find testimonies to this e.g. Faith Freedom International or Answering Islam. Remind her that as a good muslim she would want to follow Sharia. Suggest to her that when her husband tells her this and she objects in the strongest terms, he can either beat her or say "I divorce you" three times and the marriage is dissolved. Tell her that Sharia and the Qur'an condone both. I don't know if you are Christian or Catholic for that matter but there is an excellent introduction to Islam in a question-and-answer form comparing it to Catholicism. It is written by Robert Spencer and Daniel Ali, a convert from Islam to Christianity. I hope this helps. I believe love and acceptance are both powerful tools and would recommend continued use. I would add too that the Truth can set you free. Sincerely, No Dhimmi Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
