EsmeraldaReader comment on item: King of Pop Michael Jackson and Black Converts to Islam Submitted by sabrina (United Kingdom), Dec 6, 2007 at 13:01 First of all you dont even read the whole text but just pick out verses from the quran and hadith and just assume. Lets get one thing straight, i did not omit anything from the verses because i read them in full and understand them. I asked you to show me something stating that the prophet (raped) safiya, but you couldnt could you because that isnt true and dosent state it anywhere, so much so you tell me that i aint giving info from the quran or hadith, er maybe you need to look up about the mischief verse in the quran, and fiq wouldnt go against that., but hey thats fair enough what you say about fiq. Safiya, understandably would be angry about her family being killed by the prophet, he consoled her telling her they were his enemies who wanted him dead waging war aginst him, the west dont just say everything is fair in love and war hah. The story in full not just verses... And if you dont like it tough!!Jewish woman captured from the Banu Nadir tribe at age 17,[1] who became Muhammed,s wife. She was titled the "Mother of Believers".[2] was a Safiyya bint Huyayy After Muhammad's death, she became involved in the power politics of the early Safiyya is said to have a dream which predicted her marriage with Muhammad, and she was beaten by her husband for desiring another man. Thus, the dream (interpreted as a miracle), that's why it was easy for her to convert to islam when the prophet asked her to. her suffering, and her reputation has won her a place in When her family was killed by the prophet and his men he felt responsible for her as she was a prisoner of war and feared she might be killed. Her beauty did capture his heart and he fell for her, he did not RAPE her like you say, he asked her to convert at which she angrily replied "why would I convert to your religion? You have killed my family"! the prophet apologised and consoled her telling her, her family were his enemies wanting him killed. These were his words, If you do not accept Islam, but prefer to remain Jewish," "You will join the fate of the rest of your people." Safiya's answer was that she had nothing to loose, as all her family had been killed and she had no one to go back for. Safiya's admiration to Muhammad was constant and lasted through out their shared life. She used to say that she had never seen a man as good as he (al-Salihi: 213). Now get over the Safiya case pleeease. (Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 38, Number 4366)" Maliki and Hanbali schools of jurisprudence, the value of a dhimmi's life was one-half the value of a Muslim's life; in the Shafi'i school, Jews and Christians were worth one-third of a Muslim and Zoroastrians were worth just one-fifteenth. The Hanafi school, which represents the majority of Sunni Muslims, however, believes that the murder of a dhimmi must be punishable by death, citing a hadith according to which Muhammad ordered the execution of a Muslim who killed a dhimmi.[94] ...You say i never stated authentic info about mischeif? i know i explained it but im sure i stated verses from the quran. Well ill start again...Translation of Surah Al-Baqarah - NobleQuran.com And by the way i never invented anything thank you! Translation of Surah Al-Araf - NobleQuran.com I know, poor Dhimmis but at least their murders weren't excusable. They were like casts are today i know some cultures that have their high and low casts who are treated differently, which shouldnt be like that. And i never made the first comments up regarding the Dhimmis. Punishment for rape in Islam Muhammad and Safiya spent the first night after the marriage together in Muhammad's tent. According to Abu Hurayra, Muhammad's bodyguard, Abu Ayub did not sleep the whole night guarding Muhammad. Abu Ayub was afraid that Safiya, whose entire family Muhammad had killed, would take revenge and kill him in his sleep. Neither did Muhammad sleep that night, out of excitement and happiness, spending the whole night speaking with her, according to Umm Sulaym's recounting of Safiya's words (Ibn Sa‘d: 8.126; Hisham and Bakhtiar: 392). Safiya was married to Muhammad for four years, during which she bore him a daughter – Fatima. According to Islamic sources, the love between them was great and Muhammad asked Allah to bless Safiya. On the eve of his death in 632, when all his wives gathered around his bed, Safiya was the only one who expressed her loyalty to him. She talked about her admiration for him: "I wish that I had what is in you," she told him, resulting in hostile looks. Sufi works. She appears in all major books of ahadith, and indice of transmitters.[Muslim community, and acquired substantial influence by the time of her death.[3]Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
