Minister Amichai Eliyahu to Channel 7: Rape in Gedera is nationalistic, it is not individual terrorism

... Regarding the severe rape in Gedera, Minister Eliyahu says: "I think that, simply put, this is a nationalistic event, seeing that he has not raped by his sector. Attacks on women is a phenomenon of harassment, hurt and disdain, not only for women. We see videos on Tiktok of Arabs pulling the side curls of ultra-Orthodox children. It's not terrorism by individuals, it's a collective, and this collective is fighting to break our spirit. And part of what it does is to hurt (via) these things as well."

"It amazes me how innocent we are, how much we love life, how much we abhor all this evil, and how much they encourage it. To the extent that this rapist was received with sweets and baklawa at his public. By us, if a human being did this, we would banish him and throw him away. A 13-year-old [Arab] boy who holds a gun, and we see that he didn't shoot him for the first time, but he already trains a lot about it and shoots children, parents and people. If our child shoots a gun, we will not go over it in silence," says the minister Eliyahu.

At the end of his words, he says: "There is a people here that loves life, loves peace, that's us, and there are vile murderers here. I'm not saying that all their people are like that, but there are vile murderers here who grow up in an atmosphere where there is an education system that supports it, there is a culture that supports it, and budgets they receive from foreign places. We have to weed out all of this," Minister Eliyahu concludes.
