Islamism a curse to human society like communismReader comment on item: "You can't fight Islamism with ideas coming out of Europe" Submitted by Kamekish (India), Dec 2, 2010 at 02:43 A very good interview with vision towards future of the planet!! G8. However I do not agree completely that communism is finished. Fascism may have ended after world war II and the fall of Berlin wall but communism is still a threat to human society like islamism. It is important for us to realise that commnism still flourish in Russia and China in the form of democracy or libralisation, and will remain a threat to the world. China is growing fast without much change in politics and governance. In the venet of evetualities, China with the kind of governance, may become dangerous. Another point, I would like to confirm that Islamism can not be fought with secular and humanist ideas but these ideas are not only prevailing in Europe, it is widespread in Asian countries. Even Pakistan claims to be secular without even protecting Muslims. The society in Asian nations are not supportuve for future human growth. The chnages are coming but a very slow change. India is the country where Islamism, secularism and communism exists but the only thing which controls these in one basket is poverty, ignorance, illiteracy. Ever after 60 years of independence, when majority people remain poor, illiterate, unemployed, Government runs cooly without any vision. Howver as other India is becoming aware, rich and conscious, society will change and that is what we have to wait and watch. And this will be an interesting thing to discuss. So a focus on Indian environment remains a critical issue while discussing the topic of Islamism, communism etc.
