Truth About Islam and Islamism Requires Spiritual Discernment - Not IdeasReader comment on item: "You can't fight Islamism with ideas coming out of Europe" Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Dec 7, 2010 at 17:30 As we continue to follow the progression of the modern expressions of Islam, it becomes somewhat apparent that the attempts to distinguish the 'moderate' expression of the religion is harder to separate from the radical extremists who are forging ahead in an attempt to initiate a 'final solution,' a worldwide shari'a, the sensibilities and sensitivities of which are manifest so profoundly now that there is not a place on earth where shari'a might be introduced but that there is a nominal idea that it is Muslim, and not Christian, law. In the fight by some societies to prevent the implementation of shari'a due to its clashing sensibilities, the proponents of shari'a seem to want to impose the idea that the abhorrent aspects of its implementation are no worse than some aspects of 'Christian'-based sensibilities, which a majority of Muslims say is far worse. But in an analysis of the objectionable aspect of either, is that a true justification for permitting them? In a rational mindset, the peaceful answer would be to say no. For starters, there is NO BIBLICAL support for the atrocities that have been committed in the name of Jesus Christ: those claiming so are guilty of conspiracy and collusion with the Adversary, and can have blasphemy added to their other transgressions. That is for Jesus Christ to judge. Now, there is topical, philosophical and rhetorical evidence that much of what is found written in Quranic studies has a source in Judeo-Christian roots, a simple proof being that any references to Jesus Christ by Muslims came hundreds of years after Jesus' death on the cross, and His burial and resurrection. If Jesus's life had not been before, then why do many Muslim scholars and lay people try to deny that which is a fact and truth beforehand. Islam and its inherent radical extremism come in a modern context, for Islam in history enjoyed peace only when there was abject servitude to its cause. One example might be to look at Islam's expulsion from Spain, which evidently suffered under Islam; for why would Islam have needed to be removed from the Iberian Peninsula if not so. Today we observe that 'moderate' Islam is found only in those places where the 'peaceful' practitioners have assimilated into their host environs in a mostly non-confrontational circumstance. But as time goes by and the distinguishing variations of their religious practices find a smaller and smaller venue, the more the extremist radicalized form of expression is sought out. That is where we find that 'moderate' American based Islamization takes its roots, vis a vis the Ft Hood assassin and the American al Qaeda operatives. The distinguishing of 'moderate' Islam and the more fundamentalist practice of Islam, and eventually the extremist expressions of shari'a are separated by no more than one sermon. To the western mentality, that separation is quite hard to discern, and even more so when there is the idea that 'moderate' Islam is still regarded as a 'harmless' profession of that belief system. In reality, a Muslim not practicing fundamentalist Islam as directed by the Quran and the hadiths' is an apostate form of the religion, one that is judged elsewhere in the more formal places of Islamic worship as not being enough. So when the American media try to place some caution on being intolerant to Islam, remember that the differences are not so hard to distinguish in places like Israel, for those Muslims will never let you forget their idea of supremacy. It is the battle being fought there now; and it is the battle, if it is let fully out, to be fought here. It is Biblical; and it will not end well for those who have not believed in the WORD of the LORD.
