Hopeful

Once again, I am pleased to vist this blog and be encouraged. My view of history does not lead me to these conclusions, but the information and views in this blog and article are well balanced.

Islam as a form of government is so backward that it is very possible that modern life has finally caught up to it. It has been 90 years since the breakup of the Ottoman Empire. This is how many generations? The nations that made up the Empire should have established at least some nationalistic following and loyalty. This is all very encouraging.

I would like to point out that the changes going on today can still turn against humanity. Look at how the economic situation in the world in the 1920's and 1930's created monsters from modern populations. We are ALL vulnerable to this, and particularly populations whom are living under 'new management'. Cultural change is the most difficult and dangerous. Islam is a culture as much as anything else. Cultural change can create a backlash faster and more violent than anything. We will do well to continue to keep a close eye on what is going on.
