Another parallel between communism and Islamic politics

Dear Dr Pipes:

In the communist era when the citizens of communist countries defected they did not escape to another communist country. Doing so would have been utterly stupid. These defectors escaped to western countries where they expected conditions to be much better. Recently a foreign minister of Libya defected from Libya. This defector also did not seek asylum in another Islamic Emirate (like Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Malaysia, Morrocco, Indonesia, or Pakistan). This defector sought asylum in the UK.

Can there be a better example of the fact that Islamist method of governance is not liked by even muslims? Do the books that describe the history of communism tell us anything about the future of Islamic politics?
