And Compare the KNOW-NOTHING Disapproval of Congressman King's Hearing

What I believe people have to NOT know in order to be righteously indignant about

Congressman Peter King's Hearings on the threat of homegrown Moslem radicalization and terrorist activity:

1) You have to NOT know anything important about the life and actions of Muhammad,

2) You have to NOT know the passages in his book, the Koran, that command intolerance, hatred, violence, and indiscriminate terror.

3) You have to NOT know very much about 1400 years of Moslem history, especially before the centuries of deceptively quiet stagnation that set in from around 1700 until the 20th Cenutry discovery of Oil and its unearned wealth,

and especially,

4) You have to NOT know anything of the recent decades of history in all the majority-Moslem States from Morocco to Pakistan, especially regarding their virulent religious intolerance, radical opposition to equality for women, and the incapacity of all these States to achieve competent government, and the creation of independent civic institutions and economic policies productive of a good quality of life for their citizens,

and finally,

5) You have to NOT know about the adamant refusal of the large Moslem communities in many States of Europe to assimilate to the peaceful and prosperous civilization of those countries, but to increasingly and threateningly demand that this successful civilization transform itself into an obedient appendage of these immigrant communities, and to being ruled by Sharia, the religion-based Law of Islam.

So, if you work very hard and succeed in NOT knowing all these things, then it makes sense to claim that this hearing, and other examinations of the role of Islam in America life, are unfair.
