Good plan. Let's implement itReader comment on item: What's the Goal in Libya? Submitted by Frank Luke (United States), Jun 18, 2011 at 21:18 Daniel Pipes makes an excellent suggestion. Before we help change regimes, we need to make sure we are not jumping from the frying pan into the fire. Removing a bad man might sound like a good idea, but unless we have a better alternative, it can be a step in the wrong direction. Moreover, Dr. Pipes' idea that there should be two Libyas makes good sense. Europe is not known for its stand on justice. They have been known to sacrifice human rights for drilling rights. In their haste to get into bed with the possible future rulers of Libya, Europe may not care whether the new rulers are better than Quaddafi or not. America, on the other hand seems to be indulging in "we are world leaders, so let's lead" thinking. If I were in the White House, I would implement the Pipe Program on Libya. In fact, that is the sort of thing we need to do every time there is a revolt against any ruler in any country.
