Two Libyas would be nice but unattainableReader comment on item: What's the Goal in Libya? Submitted by p. schwartz (United States), Jul 16, 2011 at 17:58 I think your proposal for having two Libyas and then deciding which to choose would be great but basically unattainable. That kind of dream solution happens only in the movies. However, I think that what NATO and the West need to do is find out what the opposition is all about, are they just going to replace Gaddafi with another dictatorial, tyrannical regime and deny basic human rights to the suffering Libyan people. I realize it is difficult to ascertain but it is also necessary. Once the judgment is made, then it becomes much easier to decide which of the two Libyas the West should support.. I realize this is very difficult but I think it makes more sense than "trying out" the two regimes and deciding which one is worthy of Western support.
